Stuff

My muscles are sore from all the cleaning and shopping that I did this weekend. I enjoy a quiet Monday after a busy weekend.
Ayden has is head on my shoulder, watching me type. Dyllen is crawling around on the floor. They've had their milk, and their diapers have been changed.
Have to take the car later to have the breaks checked.

Keeping Busy

Dyllen is keeping me busy, because he has just learned to pull himself up, to a standing position. But, he can't get back down. So, he cry's and I come running to the rescue. We do this over and over.
I hug him and say "what happened to that new born boy that I brought home from the hospital?" And, he laughs.
Took our Christmas pictures @ target on Friday. They turned out well. And we only spent 147$. We got 20 sheets, enough for my scrapbooks, and to give to family, Christmas cards, and a portrait for our wall. Thank goodness for coupons.

Why Are You So Happy?

I was sitting outside on my porch. Drinking my morning coffee. But, the mosquito's found me, and my citronella candle was not fending them off. So I came in. The house was quite. But, then i hear a delighted squeal coming from the back bedroom. It was Dyllen. He's awake. And happy with the prospects of a new day.

Labor Day Weekend 09

Yesterday, Andrew said that he felt like Thanksgiving Dinner. So, I made Thanksgiving dinner. But, there was no pumpkin a walmart. None. So I made german chocolate cake instead instead of pumpkin pie. It's his favorite. We ate out on the porch, cuz, after firing up the oven, it was too hot in the dinning room. And, we've already shut off the ac for the season.
Went to a barbeque and a pampered chef party. Bought the covered baker. Elaine said that you could cook meat in the microwave in it. I'm looking forward to trying it out.
Taught the youth class, at church, on Saturday. Ate at Moes, with friends afterwards.
Had a date on Friday night.
Mandy was absent most of the weekend. She slept over at a friends house. Or was in her room. Or asleep. She's not interested in spending time with us.

Child Proof Locks

Last Sunday, Ayden escaped. Andrew thought that he was upstairs w/ me. I thought that he was downstairs w/him. But, he wasn't. He was across the street at the neighbor's house. Luckily, they brought him back to us.
He got out through the basement door, which leads to the garage. Krystopher had forgotten to close the garage door when he had taken the trash out. So, Ayden was off, to enjoy his new found freedom. When we got him back he was all smiles. No fear...this boy.
When I went to bed that night, my mind filled with all of the bad things that could have happened. My good friend Verna Hadley says "God takes care of babes and fools." Thank goodness for that. Because there are both living at this address.

Ayden and Yellow Bear

Ayden sleeps with "Yellow Bear". Has since he was 6 wks old. Usually, it stays in his crib. But, sometimes he brings it out, and it gets lost somewhere in the house. And, when it's time for bed again, everyone helps search for yellow bear. Yesterday was one such evening. Yellow bear was lost and we were all searching. I asked Ayden "where's yellow bear?" He was standing by the bookcase looking up. Finally, I stopped to notice what he was looking at. Yellow bear was on the shelf. He smiled. He had found it himself, And he seemed very proud.
Right now, he's briging me diapers and wipes. I think that he's saying he needs a diaper change.

Mid-night Snack

Last night, Dyllen woke up at 1:30 am. It's been forever since he's been up in the middle of the night. He woke me out of a sound sleep, and I was very disappointed. I had to make him a bottle. Hate feeding bottles at night. I miss nursing.
Dyllen has congestion in his throat. He woke up cuz he was coughing. I waited to see if he'd go back to sleep, but, he didn't. He started screaming, and he woke Ayden.
So, we were all up.
I'm very tired.
And, I have a lot to do today, to get ready for my weekend w/ Andrew. I want to get my hair cut. And I need to clean up around here, so the babysitter isn't grossed out.
Ayden is being snugli at the moment. He's watcing me type. Dyllen has crawled under the coffee table. Speaking of coffee.. I need some.
Made meatloaf last night. I made it with 2 eggs. some ketchsup. and taco seasoning. They liked it. I also make a white cake which I drizzled with an icing that I'd made with a lime and about a 1/2 cup of powdered sugar.

No!

I'm constantly telling Ayden "No!" He's always getting into stuff. Right now, he's brushing his hair with a paint brush that he found. Go figure...
Ayden is coming down the stairs frontwards, now. He used to turn aound backwards and slide down, feet first, on his tummy. I should have gotten video of it, but, I didn't.
Dyllen has two teeth. He is manuvering all over the floor these days. He has a cough. We are going to the Dr. today. I'm pretty sur that it's just teeth.
Last night, when I put Dyllen to bed, he coo-ed and chattered to himself before he went to sleep. He sounded so sweet, I wanted to get him up and hold him and love on him. But, I didn't. I knew it might have ill effects on his bedtime routine.
Mandy is busy at school. She stays after each night this week. ROTC.
Krys has been practicing his trumpet.
Andrew and I are having our anniversery weekend this weekend. 17 years of marriage on Aug. 19. Can't wait! Not sure where we are going. It's Andrew's surprise.

Arrested

Yesterday, I called Andrew and asked him to pick up some milk. Later I got a call, and the caller id read "Kennesaw City Jail". Puzzled, I almost didn't pick up. But, I did. I was surprised to hear Andrew's voice on the line. He had been arrested for speeding. 57 in a 25. Ouch! He was lost, in down town Kennesaw, coming home from golfing. He didn't realize the speed limit was so low. Live and learn.
It's so funny. He's usually such a stickler about abiding by the speed limit. He drives me crazy when he says "watch your speed."
I shutter to think what this will do to our insurance.
When I called the bail boundsmen, I was laughing when I said "I need someone to bail my husband out of jail."
It's always something....

Dyllen is cranky. He doesn't want me to put him down. So, I'm sitting here on the couch, he's in his bouncer on the coffee table, I've put my on the table. Holding my toes seems to make him feel better.

2nd Day of School

Yesterday went well. Had lots of forms to fill out last night. Hate that. They've all gone off to school for their 2nd day. Krys is still at the bus stop. Babies r still in bed.
I'm not leaving the house today, except maybe to go to the gym.
Have got to clean up downstairs. It's a mess after our remodel last week.

School Today

The last bus just left, Krys was on it. The girls headed out earlier. The baby boys aren't awake yet. I'm sitting on my porch, again, enjoying a few minutes of solitude.
My prayer, today, is that they find what they need, that they Lord put good people in thier paths, and that they ARE the good people that other parents are praying for in the paths of thier own children.
Dyllen's 6th month photo's today.
Bought formula last night. He goes through it quickly.

Back To School

Took Kym to her open house, at the school, on Thursday. Gone is the little girl who used to cling to me, and was afraid to speak to anyone. She has been replaced with a confident 6Th grader, who roams the halls like she owns the place. She knows where to go, and what to do. She greets her friends warmly, and asks which teacher they got. And, I am left to sit, alone, in her homeroom desk, filling out paper work. As I reflect on the years that have passed so quickly, I try hard to hide the tears running down my cheeks.

MS

Andrew woke me this morning, saying "This is bad." He said something about not being able to keep his balance. At first, I thought he was talking about the bank account. He wasn't. I wanted him to lay back down, but, he didn't. He wobbled off to work.
I'm waiting for his neurologist to answer his phone so that I can make an appointment.
It's been several years since he's had an episode.
He called earlier and asked about Harry Potter books. Said one of his co-workers had Harry Potter books he was selling. I told him we already have all of HP. So, he must not be doing too bad. If it were a bad episode, hp would be the least of his concerns.
Dyllen was up on his hands and knees yesterday. He has a tooth poking through on the bottom.
Eye appointments today, for Krys an Mandy.

Blood work

Had to go to the lab this am to have my blood drawn for a pregnancy test. I'm not pregnant, but, they need to make sure before they do the test, tomorrow, where they will inject me with dye, to make sure that my tubes are blocked from the essure that i had done in April. Permanent birth control. If they r blocked, I will be able to have sex w/o a condom, and not have to worry about getting pregnant. It's a new phase in my life. I'm looking forward to it.
Instead of buying pizza, I'm making it, from ingrediants already here in the house. I'm cutting back on my grocery store spending. Like I said I would.
I laid Dyllen on his mat on the floor. He likes to hang out there. I looked over at him to find Ayden standing on his chest. He didn't cry, infact, he was smiling. I put Ayden in his pen.

Dyllen's 1/2 Birthday

The time has gone by so quickly. I can't believe it's been 6 months since I gave birth to him. I thought I'd be pregnant forever. I was so miserable toward the end. And now, here it is, a distant memory.
I tried to make a checker board cake. It didn't turn out too well. Made lasagne for dinner. I used to make lasagne all of the time. But, the family got tired of it. So, it's been awhile. It was good.
Krys is sleeping next door in the nieghbor boys tree house. Hope that they stay outta trouble.
Mandy is still at blt camp. She'll be back on Thursday. Hope that she's enjoying herself.
Kym is the only one here, besides the babies.
Last month, Andrew reported, I spent $1200 on the amex. He spent $500. That's just for groceries, necessities (diapers, shampoo, tide...ect...) and gas. I really need to cut back. I buy steak too often.

Dyllen fell off of the couch...

He's fine. It just scared him. I was sitting right beside him, but, i was preoccupied with changing Ayden's diaper. Dyllen is a good baby. He is only nursing once a day, now. He loves his bottles. I'm not sure how much he wieghs. He is chunky. He is wearing sz 2 diapers.
Getting frustrated with keeping Ayden outta things. Driving me crazy.
Watching the view.
Mandy is a blt camp this week, with her rotc class.
Not much going on today.
We must start getting ready for school. Krys and Mandy need glasses/contacts. They all need haircuts, and cloths and supplies.
I will be sad to see them go. They are a big help with the babies.
Kym is reading. She reads the twilight books over and over.
Krys is on the computer.
Haven't eaten yet today. I need to go...
